Happy Buddies are extremely honoured to be supporting The Children's Trust's first ever Halloween Howl sponsored Dog Walk and Fun Dog Show. This event will offer families the opportunity to enjoy a family day out whilst raising money for a great cause.
The Children's Trust is the UK's leading charity for children with brain injury and is based locally, in Tadworth. They provide expert rehabilitation, education, therapy and care at their national specialist centre, supporting children and families from across the UK. They also offer services in communities around the country and online support for parents.
Sadly, thousands of children every year acquire a brain injury through a tragic accident or illness. At The Children's Trust, these children are given a fighting chance to recover their lost abilities – how to walk, talk or even swallow - through this fantastic charity's bespoke residential rehabilitation programme.
The sponsored walk itself will consist of two route options; 3km or 5km, based on Reigate Priory Park's circular walk. Following the walk, a Fun Dog Show will be held which Happy Buddies will be helping to organise and run on the day.
The Dog Show will have a total of 7 classes and these will be:
- Cutest Puppy (under 12 months)
- Most Handsome
- Prettiest Girl
- Most Waggiest Tail
- Best Young Handler
- Best Fancy Dress
- Best in Show
There will be some pawsome prizes and rosettes awarded!
For more information and to register for the event, please visit The Children's Trust website https://www.thechildrenstrust.org.uk/halloween-howl-walk-2017.
This will be a great event so get the dogs and family out for some fresh air and exercise whilst raising money for a great cause. By the way, having a dog is not a mandatory requirement to take part!
