Hi, I’m Katie, Associate Puppy School Tutor for Happy Buddies Dog Training.

With experience across rehoming centres, daycare facilities and emergency veterinary practices, I bring a professional, welfare-first approach to everything I do. 

I hold a degree in Animal Management and Welfare from Harper Adams University, giving me a strong foundation in canine behaviour, handling and wellbeing - from supporting shy rescue dogs to guiding lively, energetic puppies.

In 2021, I founded my own pet care business, Tuff’s Tails, which has grown into a trusted service offering dog walking and boarding at my Dog & Cat Hotel. This hands-on experience means I work with a wide variety of dogs every day, each with their own personalities and needs.

Alongside this, I’m a qualified Dog First Aider, a Nature’s Menu Raw Advisor and a Canine Hoopers Instructor.

I trained with Gwen Bailey, an internationally renowned dog trainer, behaviourist, author and founder of Puppy School. I am currently working towards becoming a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT) and a Registered Animal Training Instructor with the Animal Behaviour and Training Council (ABTC).

As a Puppy School Tutor, I use kind, reward-based training methods to help give your puppy the very best start in life.

My aim is to create a supportive, friendly environment where both you and your puppy can learn, grow in confidence and enjoy the training journey together.
